Why do you need to focus on colleague experience and design?
So very often diversity and inclusion interventions are very tactical and unsustainable. They are about fixing individuals and not addressing cultural barriers or systemic obstacles. For example, organisations put women through leadership development programs to address the gender imbalance at senior levels, however, they do not address things like flexible or agile working, masculine leadership traits, etc.
By focusing on the journeys that people go through in your organisation you can identify barriers or obstacles that prevent people from thriving. For example, you may have a recruitment process that prevents people on the autism spectrum from entering your organisation. By removing such barriers you are opening your organisation to these untapped talent pools.
