An interactive 3-hour workshop where we:

  1. Define diversity and inclusion and why it is everybody's responsibility.

  2. Play The Peacock in the Land of Penguins video, followed by interactive quiz to understand people's day-to-day experience of working in the organisation and how inclusive it feels to them. The Peacock in the Land of Penguins is a contemporary corporate fable. The story echoes one that is unfolding each and every day in organizations all across the country—how to manage the increasing diversity of today's workforce to capture the talent, energy, and commitment of all employees.

  3. Brainstorm examples of exclusion and difficulties this causes individuals and teams. 

  4. Introduce terminology and why we should be aware of them for creating an inclusive culture:


    1. Unconscious bias

    2. Privilege

    3. Norms (those that we want to preserve and those that we want to challenge)

    4. Microaggressions - everyday slights and indignities some people encounter all the time - while others aren’t even aware they’re committing them.

  5. Plan simple actions/nudges attendees can take away using the If This Then That (ITTT) formula.

  6. Discuss why a culture of inclusion is important for future proofing your organisation.
